Electronic Device Patents
Computers and computing devices have many patentable components. A component is patentable if it improves the functionality of the computer. Many components such as processors, RAM, storage, and cooling fans act to improve the computer’s functionality. Computers are developing at a rapid rate and patents are frequently filed to protect the improvements.
Electronic equipment includes any device that relates to a user interface and/or processes data in some way. This includes phones, tablets, electric door locks, control panels, security systems, cameras, audio equipment etc.
Electronic equipment can also include mechanical devices that require electrical power. For example, I have experience analyzing and filing patent applications for devices powered by electrical motors attached to a power supply.
